Description
The aim of this project is to develop an electronic student that can learn from instruction that is increasingly more natural (i.e. instruction that increasingly resembles the instruction that a human teacher provides a human student). The development of such an electronic student involves the development of heuristics and approaches to deal with the inherent ambiguity and imprecision of natural instruction. Additionally, we are researching mechanisms for ranking and comparing hypotheses that the electronic student generates from provided instruction.
